Karl Strauss Considering Northern Ireland Brewery

On Monday, the San Diego-based brewery announced that it is exploring plans to open in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
While nothing has been finalized, California brewers and Irish officials spent St. Patrick’s Day praising the deal’s potential.
The East Belfast Partnership, an economic development agency, approached Karl Strauss several months ago. At first, Karl Strauss co-founder and president Matt Rattner was surprised the Irish hadn’t tapped a European brewery.
