North Slope Brewing Gains Approval For New Dallas, PA Brewpub @ Former Dough Company

I’ve been following along with this story and I’m happy to report some great news for residents of the Back Mountain. North Slope Brewing gained zoning board approval from Dallas Boro last night to open a new brewpub at the site of the former Dough Company on Rt 309 in Dallas, PA.
Owners of the new venture will be Dallas native Vanessa Warren and her husband Sam Warren. The Warrens currently live in Brooklyn NY’s Park Slope neighborhood and have family in Northeastern PA which went on to form the name North Slope Brewing Co. An interesting side note is that I’ve actually visited a brewery called the North Slope Brewery in Eagle River, Alaska, but I believe it has since closed.
North Slope Brewing is planning to hire at least 2 brewers and once the remodeling is complete, the brewpub will be open 6 days a week selling North Slope (and guest) beers as well as locally sourced food. North Slope will sell pints/samples and growlers and while they will be selling kegs to local bars, there is no plan to can or bottle their beer so far.
The owners are targeting an opening date in Nov 2014 so stay tuned for more details.
