Lucasfilm Sues Empire Brewing Over “Strikes Bock” Beer

The Armory Square brewpub recently applied for a trademark on a beer it calls Strikes Bock. Lucasfilm, producer of such movies as Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back, has filed a legal notice that it opposes the trademark and the name.
"The thing is the beer is called ‘Strikes Bock,’ not ‘Empire Strikes Bock,’ " Katleski said. "It’s ‘Strikes Bock,’ by Empire."
Still, Katleski acknowledges the label on a bottle might make it appear like "Empire Strikes Bock."
