Boulevard – NEW Tropical Pale Ale Hitting 12oz Cans

Here’s your first look at a new can coming from Boulevard Brewing. This is Tropical Pale Ale and it is an ale brewed with grapefruit & passion fruit. By name this looks like their Collaboration No 5 with Cigar City, but the AbV doesn’t line up so it looks to only be a similar name so far. Look for Tropical Pale Ale to be packaged in 12oz Ball cans and the beer will hit 5.9%-AbV. Stay tuned here for release details….but assuming this is the new “Session Fruit Pale Ale” listed on their 2016 release schedule, it will be out in April and go year-round.

We’re very excited to announce that a new year-round beer will be joining our lineup this spring! Inspired by our collaboration with Florida’s famed Cigar City Brewing, Tropical Pale Ale marries our love and mastery of balanced pale ales with the bright, refreshing flavors of grapefruit and passion fruit accented by juicy, citrusy hops.
Tropical Pale Ale begins with a base of soft pilsner malt layered with Maris Otter, Munich and caramel malts. Huge late hopping with a blend of Mosaic, Citra, Topaz and Azacca lends bright flavors of mango, pear, blueberry and citrus to a pale ale featuring slightly toasted biscuit and caramel/toffee notes. Tropical Pale Ale is infused with grapefruit and passion fruit juice at the conclusion of the boil, resulting in a refreshing acidity and bold tropical fruit flavor and aroma. Currently scheduled to debut in six packs of 12-ounce cans and on draft in April, Tropical Pale Ale is 5.9 ABV and 45 IBU. 
UPDATE 26 Nov 2016: This beer (as well as Unfiltered Wheat) will now be packaged at Summit Brewing in 12oz cans (packaging above).
