DESTIHL Adding Missouri Distribution 7/21

Destihl announced today that it will launch distribution of its beers into the State of Missouri beginning July 21st.

In February, DESTIHL announced plans to build its new 47,000sf production facility this year in Normal, Illinois. DESTIHL broke ground on that facility in mid-June, with an opening slated for early 2017. “Building the new production brewery is enabling us to move forward again with our expansion into new, exciting markets like Missouri”, said DESTIHL’s Founder, Brewmaster and CEO, Matt Potts. “We look forward to this opportunity for DESTIHL beers to finally be available in this great, neighboring state, which has had many fans seeking our beers for years. The key in making this happen was to team up with a new distribution company that is set up for success with an experienced group of founders who are very passionate about our beers.”

In a few short years, DESTIHL has earned multiple awards, including Great American Beer Festival® (GABF) medals and Best of Show at the 2015 National Wood-Aged Beer Competition held at the Festival of Barrel Aged Beers (FoBAB) in Chicago for its Dosvidanya® Russian Imperial Stout (aged in bourbon barrels). DESTIHL’s sour program began several years ago in 2008 with its barrel-aged Saint Dekkera® Reserve Sour Ales, which have also won several awards, and it was that brand that originally got the brewery noticed nationally back in 2011 at GABF. However, the brewery’s notoriety rose in late 2014 to a whole new level with its trend-setting release of its Wild Sour Series in 4-packs of 12 oz. cans. This Series is a line of bold kettle sours DESTIHL produces with its own wild mixed-culture which is indigenous to the central Illinois brewery. Beers from the Wild Sour Series (including cans of Here Gose Nothin’®, Counter ClockWeisse® and its newly released dry-hopped sour SynchopathicTM) are hitting the Saint Louis market in Missouri this month along with the brewery’s core year-round offerings such as Weissenheimer® Hefeweizen, Vertex IPA®, Hoperation Overload® Double IPA and Abbey’s Single® among other brands as well.
