So Fresh & So Green, Green Gets a Refresh for Terrapin’s Hop Harvest Festival

Good news coming from Terrapin Beer in Athens, GA:

For the eighth year, Terrapin Beer Co is releasing a fresh hopped IPA in conjunction with their Hop Harvest Festival on October 21^st, 2017 and this year, the beer’s packaging is so fresh too.

Each year, the brewers choose a hop to highlight, and brings in hundreds of pounds of fresh hops for the brew. This year’s hop is a fan favorite, Citra, that is also featured in several other Terrapin brews.

Releasing at Terrapin’s Hop Harvest Festival, So Fresh & So Green, Green is one of many hopped-up Terrapin beers that will be available at the brewery on October 21^st. Hop Harvest will also feature beers from the ATL Brew Lab, Terrapin’s small batch facility at SunTrust Park. The festival is a benefit for long-time partner, Dogwood Alliance, a non-profit focused on defending Southern Forests.

Terrapin Beer Co. began as a daydream between founders John Cochran and Spike Buckowski, who brewed and released their first beer, Rye Pale Ale, in 2002. Six months after it’s release, the beer made it to Denver for GABF, where John and Spike took home a Gold Medal for Rye Pale Ale in the American Pale Ale Category.

Inspired by the creative culture of Athens, Terrapin began to add to its beer lineup, with unique beers like W-n-B, Hopsecutioner, and many others. Today, Rye Pale Ale is accompanied by six other year-round beers, four seasonal sessions, and at least a dozen special projects, side projects and collaborations.
