Buffalo Wings

Pair with Voodoo Ranger IPA, matching the strength of the sauce with the strength of the beer. The IPA’s elevated ABV and aggressive hop presence will cut through the heat of the Buffalo sauce, while the beer’s malt presence will accentuate any crispy bits of the wing skin.

Little Smokies

Pair with 1554. The beer’s roasted malts and subtle peppery notes will draw out the smokier side of these smoky/sweet sausages, while the beer’s inherent sweet bready malt character and slightly sweet banana notes will pair nicely with the sweeter side of the sausage.

Nachos

Pair with Dayblazer. Classic pairing: Nachos and lager. The lager is light enough that it won’t distract from the complex nacho flavor, but the beer’s grainy malt flavor will elevate the corn chip, while it’s slight bitterness and vibrant carbonation scrubs the gooey cheese from the palate.

Spinach Artichoke Dip

Pair with Sour Saison. This is a bit of a curveball, but could work really well. The dip’s slight tanginess works well with the sourness of the beer. The rustic notes from the saison yeast should pair nicely with the vegetal spinach and artichoke. Finally, the beer’s sourness will scrub the palate clean after each sip.

Potato Skins

Pair with Fat Tire Belgian Style Ale. A dish like potato skins needs a sturdy malt-driven beer to stand up to it. So, Fat Tire’s sweet caramel/bready malts will accentuate and highlight the dish’s heavier flavors. Bacon toppings will draw out some of the subtle umami notes in Fat Tire. Fat Tire’s slight fennel notes will add a nice accent to the potato skins. Finally, the beer’s bitterness will help freshen the palate after each bite/sip.

Pizza

Pair with Fat Tire Belgian White. This witbier is light, fluffy, lemony/citrusy and finishes clean—everything you’d want when washing down a slice of pizza (regardless of what kind, maybe not Hawaiian). Each sip will perk up the taste buds for another bite, and brighten up your senses so your palate doesn’t get weighed down by each oily, saucy bite.
