Funky Buddha Mexican CoffeeLots of news coming today from Funky Buddha:

Buenos dias, amigos: we’re happy to announce the return of Mexican Coffee!

This imperial stout is blended with coffee, cinnamon, and sent out for an extended vacation inside reposado tequila barrels. The result is rich and roasty with a kiss of tequila; just like a classic café mexicano.

The inspiration behind Mexican Coffee was to brew a beer much like the classic café Mexicano. These Mexican-style coffee elixirs are warm cocktail that combines coffee and cinnamon with a touch of Tequila and usually topped off with sweet cream. The concept stuck and our brewers went to work creating this bold imperial stout.

Mexican Coffee will be available just in time for Cinco De Mayo! Bottles and draft will be released in our taproom on April 29th starting at 11:30am. 22 ounce bottles will go on sale in our tap room for $25 each with a limits TBD. Due to the yield, we’ll be releasing bottles primarily in the tap room with an extremely limited distribution to select retailers. Stay tuned to our social media channels for more info on this café concoction!

Rise and shine, buttercup – it’s time for breakfast.

Evoking a complete diner-style breakfast in a glass, Wide Awake It’s Morning is a complex beer with a multitude of flavors at play. This imperial version of our infamous Maple Bacon Coffee Porter adds some girthy gravity to the the smokey, salty, rich combo of maple syrup, fresh roasted coffee, and bacon. A hefty grain bill which includes carafa & chocolate malts as well as flaked oats contributes a distinct, round mouth feel and an elevated ABV of ten percent. This highly sought after Buddha beer also shined in the RateBeer’s Best Awards for the year 2017 by winning a silver medal in the Best Beers Imperial Porter category and being nominated in the Top 100 Beers in The World! Wide Awake has also consistently acheieved near perfect ratings on Ratebeer, Untappd, and Beer Advocate.image

Wide Awake It’s Morning returns to the tap room on Sunday, April 29th starting at 11:30am. 22-ounce bottles will go on sales for $17 each with a limit of six per person. Wide Awake It’s Morning will also hit distribution following the brewery release. Stay tuned to our social media channels for more info.

Peanut Butter Jelly Time!

Our loyal fans have been begging for this beer and with good reason: No Crusts is a bready brown ale that sandwiches the aroma of creamy peanut butter with a fruity finish reminiscent of mixed berry jam. One taste will envelop you in waves of nostalgic flavor – just don’t forget to cut the crust!

Funky Buddha’s head brewer and founder, Ryan Sentz, was inspired by lunchtime with his daughter to brew a pb&j beer that tastes just like the real thing. Ryan tried 30 or 40 different recipes, using different methods before he found the perfect combination. After nailing the recipe, he brought the brew across the country to many different beer festivals. People were blown away by the redolent flavor and were instantly hooked on the juice. This year Funky Buddha took home a silver medal at the Great American Beer Festival for this mind-blowing beer.

For the first time ever, No Crust Peanut Butter & Jelly Brown Ale will be available in 12-ounce bottle four-packs! It’s set to be release in our tap room on National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day Monday, April 2nd starting at 11:30am. In addition to the release, we’ll be whipping up some delicous specials at the Craft Food Counter & Kitchen. Every purchase of a food special will come with a free 8-ounce pour of No Crusts!

Four-packs and draft will also hit distribution following the brewery release. Stay tuned to our social media channels for more info.

We’re back at again with another round of delectable bottles to add to our ever growing portfolio of Living Barrel Series beers! We have two heavy hitters scheduled to be released in the upcoming months.

Our current barrel cellar consists of over five hundred oak wine and spirit casks of all types. Each beer is sampled regularly to examine how the beer has matured and picked up characteristic of the barrel, which can lend everything from boozy complexity to subtle hints of spice and vanilla.

The first to step up to the plate is Bourbon Barrel-aged S’mores. Inspired by everyone’s favorite campfire treat, S’mores is a rich and roasty imperial stout piled high with real cocoa nibs, graham crackers, vanilla and then aged in oak, Bourbon barrels creating a nostalgic, dessert brew that’s downright delicious. An extremely limited amout of bottles will be released exclusively in our tap room on April 7th. 22-ounce bombers will go on sale $20 a piece with limits TBD.

The second to be released is Apple Brandy Barrel-aged Muy Bonita. This double brown ale flaunts a bodacious body and a stunning combination of real cinnamon, vanilla, and apples. The aroma features wave after wave of cinnamon and vanilla, and bottoms out on the back end with a copious dose of real apples. An extended stay inside brandy barrels lend soft oak flavors and a pleasant booze finish. Bottles and draft are set to released exclusively in our tap room in mid-April. 22-ounce bombers will go on sale $20 a piece with limits TBD.

Stay tuned to our social media channels for more info on releases, events, and more!
