Tomorrow we release our latest batch of Das Wunderkind — Blended Saison.

Das Wunderkind is one of the first wild beers we ever made. It’s a dry hopped blend of old barrel-aged beer with young fresh beer. It’s our first “biere de coupage” or “beer that’s cut”. The funky character and wild microorganisms in the old beer influences its younger counterpart. We love the transformation as fruity citrus of the young beer and fresh dry hops turns into funky, tropical, over-ripe fruit. Fully attenuated by our mixed culture. Super bright, fresh, funky, and floral. A house favorite at Jester King.
