Tröegs Adding Scratch #421 IPA

New brewery-only IPA coming this Thursday! You might say Scratch #421 was reverse engineered. The muse was not a hop combination, but a yeast: Hothead Kveik. During Scratch trials, we were drawn to its notes of pineapple, papaya, orange and honeydew. From there, we layered in hops to amplify those flavors, landing on Citra, Sabro, Azacca and El Dorado. In the end, this deliciously tropical and citrusy IPA is loaded with notes of juicy pineapple, papaya, tangelo and nectarine. A limited run of 16-oz. cans will be available at Tröegs on Thurs/Aug. 13. Come and get it!
