DuClaw Adding Carob Mel Sutra Biére de Garde

Today I have a new can coming soon from DuClaw Brewing in Baltimore, MD. This is Carob Mel Sutra and it will be a Biére de Garde ("beer for keeping") brewed with ground carob nuts. This "ale-phro desiac" will roll in at 10%-AbV and you’re looking at the 12oz can. Stay tuned here for more details.

What is ‘Biére de Garde’?

‘Biére de Garde’ literally means ‘beer for keeping’. Similar to a Belgian saison, this Biére de Garde is chestnut brown in color with malty, nutty-sweetness and notes of coffee and cocoa. Rich, but not heavy with a clean and smooth finish, whether you crack it open this season, or cellar it for next, you’ll delight its indulgent loveliness. Releases in time for Valentine’s Day enjoyment.
