Widmer Brothers Update PDX Pils, Deadlift & Steel Bridge Porter

This morning we get to see several new bottle updates from Widmer Brothers Brewing in Portland, OR.  PDX Pils is a lager that hikes in at 4.8%-AbV, Deadlift Imperial IPA hits 8,6%-AbV and Steel Bridge Porter will remain at 5.6%-AbV.  These are the new 12oz bottles and here are the beer details courtesy of Widmer:

An ode to our hometown of Portland, PDX Pils is a bright and refreshing hoppy lager. Toasted malts and floral notes are balanced with the crisp hop bitterness and aroma the Northwest is famous for.

Steel Bridge Porter was a winner in the Widmer Brothers Collaborator homebrew competition with the Oregon Brew Crew. Like the Steel Bridge itself, this dark ale is a Portland original and carries more than its share of weight. Rich flavors of mocha, chocolate and toffee are well balanced and complemented by a refreshing body, a hint of citrus and a dry finish.

Deadlift Imperial IPA is unlike any Imperial IPA you’ve ever lifted from the beer aisle. It has the strong hop flavor you’d expect from an Imperial IPA but no heaviness that could weigh down your desire to take another sip. The unique flavor stems in part from Nelson Sauvin hops imported from New Zealand. Deadlift’s other component, a simple but fully braced malt backbone muscles up enough malty sweetness and caramel character to spot the incredibly robust hop flavor and aroma.

Deadlift Imperial IPA uses Nelson Sauvin hops from New Zealand’s best hop growing region: South Island’s Nelson. This region produces some of the most flavorful hops found anywhere. These hops have an intense citrus, fruity, berry-like aroma and flavor that makes them unique. The result will surely be a welcome workout for your taste buds.
