It sure ain’t glamorous, but we kept it looser than a piece of low-hanging fruit with our friends at Ardent and brewed a seasonally satisfying Mexican-Style Dark Lager with Heirloom Bloody Butcher Corn! We ain’t no thieves, we just brew the same stuff!
Punk Rock Loser Dean from UNION and troglodytes Steve & William from Ardent share a mutual lust for lagers and the post-punk sounds of The Viagra Boys. In the wake of a canceled Viagra Boys show at UNION, Dean and the Ardent guys decided to turn their sorrows into suds.
Inspired by the gold foil topped traditional dark lagers found in Mexico… Ain’t No Thief will make you want to climb down from the trees to grab a pint of this deep walnut-colored lager. This desert island essential beer, is full of malty aromatics of toasted pumpernickel, fig jam, and a touch of toffee that will make you want to leave society and be a monkey. Lightly sweet, medium-bodied, smooth as a sax solo and so good it just might bring the band back to the brewery. 5.2% ABV
