Elf Season is right around the corner!

For many beer drinkers, the holidays don’t truly start until they’ve had their first Mad Elf,
our ruby red Belgian-style ale brewed with cherries and local honey. We think it belongs
on every holiday table. Come October 14, you’ll be able to kick off the holiday season and stock up for all of your family gatherings as bottles of Mad Elf will begin popping up everywhere our beer is sold. You can expect this cheerful little scamp to stir up plenty of excitement this holiday season. Stay tuned for draft release details coming in November!

New Tart & Fruit Series Release: Blood Orange Cranberry Tart Ale

The classic Madras cocktail was our inspiration for Blood Orange Cranberry Tart Ale. Brewed with 17 pounds of real fruit per barrel, this beer gets a tart first fermentation with lactobacillus. A second fermentation with our house ale yeast makes way for the sweet citrus of fresh blood orange and the tangy bite of cranberries.

Look for 6-packs of 12-ounce cans everywhere our beer is sold. You can also find it in our forthcoming Anthology Winter sampler 12-pack in the coming weeks.

Sunshine Pilsner and HopBack Amber get makeovers

Two familiar year-round beers will soon be donning new label art.

The first, our deceptively complex Sunshine Pilsner, is all about the tightrope walk of two-row barley, zesty Saaz hops and lager yeast. We add strongly fermenting young beer near the end of fermentation – a traditional German process known as “krausening” – to ensure a clean pilsner profile and add natural carbonation. The result is a flavor profile boasting notes of honeyed biscuit, bright citrus and flowering herbs.

The other, HopBack Amber, offers bright grapefruit and pine hop aromas perfectly balanced by notes of toffee and caramel for a sweet, malty finish. It’s the best of both worlds, so if you’re a lover of well-balanced, hoppy amber ales, HopBack is calling your name!
