I should mention right up front that I’m fussy with shoes and socks, and I try a LOT of different brands. For a bit of background, I’m an active runner logging roughly 4-miles a day and a really active hiker, logging hundreds of miles on multiple hiking trips every year. As you can see, I rely on shoes and socks for not only comfort and performance, but also survival.

Today I’ll be test-driving a new pair of socks called BN3TH Pro and if you’re not familiar, these socks are 95% Nylon and 5% Spandex. The Pro socks are designed for muli-sports and they are available in ankle or crew lengths…and as BN3TH puts it, “Available in both crew and ankle lengths, these socks are a natural extension of BN3TH’s commitment to technical innovation and elevated design. Built for performance, but made to feel like your favorites, they’re ideal for hitting the links, tackling the slopes, hiking + running, gym sessions, or weekend wear.“

Key Features:
Anti-Odor Ionic+® Technology to keep feet fresh

Engineered Mesh Ventilation for breathability

Cushioned Footbed for added comfort and support

Integrated Arch Support for stability

Seamless Toe Construction for a distraction-free fit

For this review, I’ll be trying out the BN3TH Pro crew length in the color black and size Large (I’m a US Men’s Size 10.5). To test the new socks, I took them on a hiking trip to Watkin’s Glen and Ithaca, New York for a week-long hiking trip. Right out of the gate, I can tell you that the socks are lightweight, comfortable and really breathable. The fabric blend wicked moisture off my feet and ankles and really kept my feet cool and dry. We also managed to hit several long hikes with temperatures over 90F, and all the time my feet remained dry and comfortable.BN3TH Pro Socks In Black Large

The BN3TH socks feel a bit like a compression sock, and this snug fit made them really comfortable and pretty much blister-proof. I have flat feet, so sweat is normally a big issue when hiking on a hot day, but with the BN3TH socks, the sweat seemed to quickly wick away from my feet and dry out without the sock staying clammy. I should also mention that the BN3TH socks were the perfect thickness (or should I say “thin-ness”). The socks fit nicely inside all of my hiking boots, and even my snuggest boots had plenty of room and comfort when wearing BN3TH socks.

As a further test, I wore the BN3TH socks for a 4-mile run and even just walking around our neighborhood, and they performed really well. The socks remained dry and comfortable and the snug fit made them feel really comfortable and secure on my feet. If you add in the seamless toe, the cushioned footbed, the engineered mesh ventilation and even the integrated arch support (I have flat feet), and you have a pair of socks that work really well in all conditions and for all sports.

To finish up, I wore the BN3TH socks on a really rainy, wet, and muddy hike and I’m happy to report that they still worked well, and while my hiking boots were muddy and wet, my feet remained dry. When I did sweat, the socks dried quickly both on my feet while hiking, and also back in our hotel room hanging over a chair.

I should also mention that the BN3TH sock have a fixed Left and Right sock (labeled on the toe of each sock), and I really think this makes a huge difference. With a sock created specifically for each foot, I think the socks just fit better, and some of my favorite running socks do the same.

Overall I’m really happy to report that the BN3TH Pro socks worked really well. They remained comfortable over long distance hikes, they remained dry in hot sweaty and rainy weather and even after miles on the trail, they still felt great. By the end of our hiking trip, the BN3TH socks became one of my favorite hiking socks and I actually wore them instead of some of my previously favorite hiking socks.

BN3TH Pro socks are available now in ankle and crew lengths in black or white, so get out there and try them for yourself. And when you do try them, be sure to let us know what YOU think.
