New Flavor Announced in Honor of National Moonshine Day, June 1

LAS VEGAS, NV  (June 2023) – The Underground speakeasy and distillery inside The Mob Museum announces the launch of its brand-new Huckleberry Hideout Moonshine in celebration of National Moonshine Day on Thursday, June 1. The new flavor will be

available for purchase in The Underground beginning Friday, June 2.
Created by The Mob Museum, the Huckleberry Hideout Moonshine (60-proof) joins the distillery’s other flavors, including The Goodfella’s Vanilla, Ginger Jake and Signature Moonshine which was awarded “Best Moonshine” at the 2020 International Whiskey Competition.

Moonshine gained popularity during Prohibition in the 1920s due to its high alcohol content and short distillation process, but the potent spirit is still beloved today. No longer an underworld staple, The Mob Museum celebrates the tried-and-true traditions of the past as authentically and safely as possible while adding its own take.

Huckleberry Hideout offers sweet, juicy, tart and fruity notes with a dry finish on the palate. Inspired by legendary bootleggers firing up stills in hideouts across the Pacific Northwest’s berry-covered mountains, the Museum’s huckleberry moonshine starts with its Signature Moonshine as a base then incorporates 100% fresh huckleberry concentrate.

Huckleberry Hideout Moonshine will be available at the Museum and online at store.themobmuseum.org in 50mL and 750mL bottles starting at $7.95. Guests must be 21 years or older to purchase moonshine.

The Underground is an immersive Prohibition history exhibition featuring a speakeasy, distillery and private VIP room in the basement of The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement. Artifacts from the 1920s and 1930s tell the intriguing story of the Prohibition era, which not only saw a proliferation of bootlegged booze and the meteoric growth of organized crime outfits but also had a profound, lasting impact on society, specifically making way for modern cocktail culture. Distillery tours allow participants to learn about Prohibition and its impact on a variety of spirits and drinking habits while tasting a few of the Museum’s moonshines. The distilling program has received various accolades, including Best Moonshine at the 2020 International Whiskey Competition.
