The Bruery Unveils New 2026 Black Tuesday Variants: Cinnamon Swirl, Brown Sugar Espresso, Apple Fritter & Strawberry Strudel Barrel‑Aged Imperial Stouts
This morning I’m excited to bring you an early look at three major 2026 Black Tuesday variants coming from The Bruery in Placentia, California, a brewery known for producing some of the most sought‑after, high‑gravity, Bourbon barrel‑aged imperial stouts in the craft beer world. Every year, Black Tuesday releases generate massive anticipation, and the 2026 lineup is already shaping up to be one of the most decadent and dessert‑inspired collections yet.
For 2026, The Bruery is preparing to release Black Tuesday Cinnamon Swirl, Black Tuesday Brown Sugar Espresso, Black Tuesday Apple Fritter and Black Tuesday Strawberry Strudel, three bold, pastry‑driven interpretations of their iconic barrel‑aged stout.
Black Tuesday Cinnamon Swirl (2026)
This variant will be a Bourbon barrel‑aged imperial stout with cinnamon, designed to evoke the rich, warming character of a fresh cinnamon roll. At a massive 19.1% ABV, this release promises the signature Black Tuesday intensity, deep oak, rich chocolate, caramelized sugars—layered with aromatic cinnamon spice. Fans of The Bruery’s pastry‑leaning stouts will immediately recognize this as one of the standout dessert‑inspired offerings of the 2026 season.
Black Tuesday Strawberry Strudel (2026)
The second variant, Black Tuesday Strawberry Strudel, will be a Bourbon barrel‑aged imperial stout brewed with strawberries and vanilla beans, landing at 18.9% ABV. Expect lush strawberry character, creamy vanilla, and the deep, layered complexity of The Bruery’s barrel program. This one leans heavily into pastry stout territory, channeling the flavors of a warm, fruit‑filled strudel wrapped inside a massive, boozy imperial stout.
Black Brown Sugar Espresso (2026)
The third variant will be a Bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout with brown sugar, coffee, oats, and vanilla beans that will hit 18.7%-AbV. This dessert-style breakfast stout will feature bold and classic flavors rounded out with pats for a soft mouthfeel.
Black Brown Apple Fritter (2026)
The fourth variant will be a Bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout with apples, cinnamon, granola, and vanilla beans (18.9%-AbV, 12.7-oz bottles)
All four 2026 Black Tuesday variants will be packaged in 12.7‑oz bottles, continuing The Bruery’s signature format for their high‑gravity, limited‑release barrel‑aged offerings. As always, these releases are expected to be extremely limited and highly sought after by collectors and fans of The Bruery’s legendary Black Tuesday series.
Stay tuned for additional 2026 Black Tuesday variants, full release details, allocation information, and complete tasting notes as The Bruery continues to roll out its highly anticipated 2026 barrel‑aged lineup.
I’ve also added in 2026 Black Tuesday Bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout (19.3%-AbV, 12.78-oz bottles).
