Benriach is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky distillery, known for its creative approach to whisky making and diverse range of cask maturation. Founded in 1898 by John Duff, it’s located in North Speyside, near Elgin. Benriach is notable for producing whisky in three distinct styles: classic unpeated, Highland peated, and triple distilled. The distillery also utilizes a variety of casks from around the world to explore different flavor profiles.

History:
Benriach was established in 1898 but closed shortly after due to the Pattison’s crash and a downturn in the market. It reopened in 1965 and has been producing whisky ever since.

Unique Styles:
Benriach stands out for its three distinct styles of whisky:

Classic Unpeated: The core, unpeated style, offering a smooth, fruity, and rounded taste.

Highland Peated: Utilizing Highland peat, which provides a smoky, campfire aroma, unlike the iodine notes of Islay peat.

Triple Distilled: A process that creates a lighter, more refined spirit.
