Why: As wildfire season continues to grow longer and more destructive each year, it’s becoming more difficult to find heroes who are able to protect their communities from the blaze. This year, the National Forest Service reported a 45% attrition rate of full time staff as wildfires continue to take a toll on the crews battling them.
