Renegade Brewing Replaces Ryeteous IPA with Redacted Rye IPA After Trademark Dispute

A few months back, Renegade  announced the changing of the name of Ryeteous to Redacted. Early this year, Renegade was confronted by an East-coast brewery to change the name of the Rye IPA you’ve been enjoying since 2011. With no compromise from this brewery, Renegade  decided to change the name of Ryeteous to Redacted Rye IPA. This change of name has finally taken effect. The last cans of Ryeteous are hitting the shelves now, and Redacted will soon follow. Celebrate or mourn this name change on Wednesday, May 8 at 6:00 PM in the Renegade taproom (9th and Santa Fe) when we will be changing the name on our chalkboard and offering specials on your favorite Rye IPA. The name is changing, but the beer will continue to be totally righteous.
