Prairie Artisan Ales Sleepover Bag & Jam It! Two Exciting New Cans

Prairie Artisan Ales is getting ready to bring two fun new beers to cans, giving craft beer fans another reason to watch for the latest releases from the creative Oklahoma brewery. The two upcoming beers are Prairie Artisan Ales Sleepover Bag, a rich imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels, and Prairie Artisan Ales Jam It!, a fruit-forward sour ale brewed with cranberry, blackberry, and apple. Both Prairie Artisan Ales beers will arrive in 12-ounce cans, with release details and tasting notes still to come.

Prairie Artisan Ales Sleepover Bag is the bigger and more decadent of the two new Prairie Artisan Ales releases. The imperial stout is aged in bourbon barrels and brewed with almonds, cacao nibs, and toffee candy, creating an ingredient combination that points toward a deep, dessert-inspired beer. At 13.6% ABV, Prairie Artisan Ales Sleepover Bag is designed for fans of big barrel-aged stouts and richly layered specialty beers. The bourbon barrel aging should add oak and spirit character, while almonds, cacao nibs, and toffee candy bring nutty, chocolate-like and caramelized notes to the profile. The colorful Prairie Artisan Ales Sleepover Bag artwork also fits Prairie’s long-running tradition of turning beer labels into eye-catching pieces of craft beer art.

Prairie Artisan Ales Jam It! takes Prairie Artisan Ales in a completely different direction. This sour ale combines cranberry, blackberry, and apple for a bright, fruit-driven flavor profile at a much more approachable 5% ABV. The blend of berries and apple suggests a balance of tartness, acidity, fruit sweetness, and a refreshing finish. For fans of Prairie’s fruited sour ales, Jam It! should be one to watch as the brewery continues its steady stream of playful, fruit-forward releases.

The new Prairie Artisan Ales cans also continue the brewery’s distinctive visual approach. Jam It! features a colorful band-style illustration with fruit characters playing music, while Prairie Artisan Ales Sleepover Bag uses a sleepover-themed illustration packed with details and bright colors. Prairie has built a strong identity around creative beer names, unusual ingredients, bold flavors, and memorable artwork, making these releases interesting before the cans are even opened.

Both beers are being brewed and packaged by Krebs Brewing Company in McAlester, Oklahoma, the long-time Oklahoma home associated with Prairie Artisan Ales. Prairie was founded in 2012 by brothers Chase Healey and Colin Healey and partnered with the Krebs Brewing team from its earliest days. Krebs Brewing Company later acquired the Prairie Artisan Ales brands in 2016, helping expand the label’s reach while maintaining its Oklahoma roots. Prairie’s portfolio has continued to include barrel-aged imperial stouts, fruited sour ales, farmhouse-inspired beers, and inventive specialty releases.

For now, beer hunters can keep an eye out for Prairie Artisan Ales Sleepover Bag and Prairie Artisan Ales Jam It in 12-ounce cans. We’ll have more information as release timing develops, including availability details and tasting notes. With one high-ABV bourbon barrel-aged stout and one bright 5% fruit sour, these two new Prairie Artisan Ales beers offer another look at the brewery’s wide-ranging approach to modern craft beer. As always, the can designs provide an early preview of the playful personality fans can expect from these upcoming beers for beer fans everywhere.Prairie Artisan Ales Jam It

About Prairie Artisan Ales

Prairie Artisan Ales is a highly recognizable Oklahoma craft beer brand based in McAlester and known for imaginative brewing, colorful can artwork, barrel-aged imperial stouts, fruited sour ales, farmhouse-style beers, and inventive specialty releases. Founded in 2012 by brothers Chase Healey and Colin Healey, Prairie Artisan Ales quickly developed a reputation for combining adventurous ingredients with expressive beer styles. The brewery’s partnership with Krebs Brewing Company helped establish Prairie’s production home in McAlester, Oklahoma, connecting the brand to a long-running Oklahoma brewing tradition.

Prairie’s story is closely connected to Krebs Brewing Company and the historic Choc Beer brewing legacy in southeastern Oklahoma. According to background published by My Beer Buzz, Krebs Brewing Company was founded in 1995 after the state’s brewing laws changed, while the brewing history behind Pete’s Place reaches back to an earlier era when beer was produced for a local restaurant and coal-mining clientele. Zach Prichard, a fourth-generation brewer, leads the Krebs Brewing operation, creating a direct connection between Oklahoma brewing history and the modern Prairie Artisan Ales brand.

Prairie Artisan Ales and Krebs Brewing Company began working together in 2012, producing the first Prairie beer, a farmhouse ale simply called Prairie Ale. In 2013, the partnership produced the first batch of Bomb!, Prairie’s flagship imperial stout, helping establish the brewery’s reputation for powerful, complex beers. Krebs Brewing Company formally acquired the Prairie Artisan Ales brands in 2016. Since then, Prairie has continued developing a wide range of beers that can move from approachable sour ales to intensely flavored, barrel-aged stouts.

The brewery is particularly associated with creative flavor combinations. Recent Prairie Artisan Ales releases covered by My Beer Buzz have included smoothie-style sour ales, fruit-driven beers, cocktail-inspired creations, pastry-inspired beers, and bourbon barrel-aged imperial stouts. That variety is central to Prairie’s identity: the brewery frequently uses fruit, candy, chocolate, nuts, spices, coffee, vanilla, coconut, and other ingredients to create beers with distinctive profiles and memorable names. Recent releases such as Smoothie Esses, Itty Bitty Banana Committee, Beach Drink, and King Nut demonstrate how consistently Prairie explores new combinations while retaining its recognizable personality.

Prairie’s can artwork is another important part of the brand. Bright colors, surreal characters, humorous concepts, and highly detailed illustrations make Prairie Artisan Ales cans instantly recognizable on a beer shelf. The combination of visual creativity and experimental brewing has helped Prairie maintain a strong following among craft beer enthusiasts who enjoy collectible packaging as much as unusual beer.

Today, Prairie Artisan Ales remains an important name in Oklahoma craft brewing, with a portfolio that continues to expand across sour ales, imperial stouts, barrel-aged beers, and other specialty releases. For fans following new Prairie Artisan Ales beers from McAlester, each new can offers another opportunity to see where the brewery’s creative brewing approach goes next. That balance of tradition and experimentation keeps Prairie Artisan Ales relevant to both longtime Oklahoma beer drinkers and craft beer fans searching for distinctive new releases in today’s craft market.
