Oskar Blues Loaded Up and Truckin' Food Truck Competition & Music Fest Returns In AprilFrom Oskar Blues:

BREVARD, NC  Feb. 13, 2018 – April in North Carolina brings sunny days with a glimpse of the summer heat to come. The hint of warmer weather sends people rushing outside for cookouts, music festivals, beers in the yard, and romps in the woods. On April 14-15, Oskar Blues Breweryinvites you to a lawn party of their own – the 2018 edition of Loaded Up and Truckin’ Food Truck-OFF and Aural Pleasure Fest.

Sub your backyard for the 145-acre lawn of the REEB Ranch, your grill for 15 food trucks, your cooler for all the Oskar Blues beer you can drink, and your Bluetooth speaker for a stage packed with killer bands includingDonna the Buffalo and River Whyless among others.

At the center of the event is an epic food truck competition – which Oskar Blues has dubbed a Truck-OFF – with more than 15 trucks competing for $2,000 in prize money. The best part of the Truck-OFF? You are the judge. With the purchase of a ‘judges ticket’ for $65, festival-goers will taste a special menu item from each food truck. Then, after stuffing their faces with the best mobile-kitchen creations imaginable, judges vote on which truck deserves to take home the title of “Truck-OFF Grand Champion” plus some cold, hard cash. Previous years’ winners include Smash-Box Mobile Kitchen and KaBobby McGees.

Just want to enjoy the day without responsibilities? General admission tickets are available for $30. Every food truck will have a full menu available for purchase, so there are plenty of options to peruse while jammin’ to live music and enjoying a beer. Camping at the REEB Ranch for Loaded Up and Truckin’ is available for the night of April 14. Tickets and schedule information for Loaded Up and Truckin’ Food Truck Off and Aural Pleasure Fest can be found online at loadedupandtruckin.com.

The creators of the Original Craft Beer in a Can, Dale’s Pale Ale, Oskar Blues Brewery has roots that run deep in the food and beverage industry. Before it was an internationally distributed brewery, ‘Oskar Blues’ was a restaurant and funky little brewpub in Lyons, Colo. serving up Cajun-inspired food alongside bluesy live music. Twenty years after opening in Lyons, Oskar Blues keeps this culture alive in North Carolina with their two, full-time CHUBwagon food trucks. Oskar Blues is ‘all-in’ for the food truck culture of Western North Carolina and Loaded Up and Truckin’ shines a light on this culture in a big way.

Headliner Donna the Buffalo will be bringing their groove-heavy take on Americana to Western North Carolina and the Loaded Up and Truckin’ Festival stage. Touring since 1989, the band has spent over 25 years fusing fiddle music, zydeco, rock, folk, and country into community-centered, dance-able live performances. River Whyless, Front Country, theHoneycutters, and more will keep the crowd moving throughout the day. Everyone knows that dancing makes room for more delicious food.
