Nickel Brook IPAs Worth Celebrating Year Round

BURLINGTON, Ont – August 15, 2018 – Nickel Brook Brewing Co. is using strong language to describe its two award-winning summer IPAs. Not for the adjective adverse, Wicked Awesome and Immodest are bold tasting beers, which live up to their descriptive names.

Wicked Awesome is a New England style IPA.This trendy brew combines Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe hops, and Vermont ale yeast. This hazy and juicy beer excites with its big orange and tangerine aroma, heady tropical flavours and smooth yet full-bodied finish. It clocks in with a 6.5% ABV (641BU). Winner of Nickel Brook’s 2017 online Mystery Pack contest, this beer now has a wickedly awesome new design by local artist Dan Brandon. Why a panther? “Because panthers are wicked awesome” says Brandon.

“We’ve long been known for having some of the best IPAs around, and we’re really excited to add another great variation to the mix,” says Matt Gibson from Nickel Brook. “We love the juicy haze-bomb NEIPAs, and we’re really proud of how Wicked Awesome this beer is.”

Immodest is for the uninhibited. This big, bold brew is an Imperial IPA with an obscene amount of hop flavour and aroma. It has bright citrus and earthy pine notes and puts the senses into overdrive only to be met with an overabundance of Citra and Simcoe hops. The unabashed flavour pours a vibrant light orange and finishes remarkably smooth at 9% ABV (851BU). Immodestly we boast Immodest is a winner of multiple awards, including a Gold at last year’s Canadian Brewing Awards, and comes with a 98% rating on Ratebeer.com
