New Belgium Adding Pilot Series No 12 Holiday Stout Cans

Today I bring you a new holiday beer coming soon from New Belgium Brewing in Fort Collins, CO and Asheville, NC. This is Pilot Series No 12 and it will be called Holiday Stout. The beer is a white stout with coffee, chocolate husk, holiday spices, vanilla beans, orange peel and Bourbon barrel spirals. This brew will roll in at 8.3%-AbV and you’re looking at the 16oz can. PILOT SERIES NO. 12: HOLIDAY STOUT

This unique milk stout pours pale amber and opens with strong cinnamon and a bit of nutmeg that settles into coffee and chocolate with hints of vanilla, clove, sherry and wood. As it warms, the cinnamon and nutmeg take a back seat to the coffee, chocolate and vanilla. Its velvety mouthfeel, derived from an addition of oats and wheat to the pilsner-heavy malt bill, is reminiscent of a nitro beer.
