New Belgium Adding La Folie Grand Reserve Fernandito Nitro

This morning I have your first peek at an exciting new variant coming from New Belgium Brewing in Fort Collins, CO and Asheville, NC. This is La Folie Grand Reserve Fernandito and it will be a sour ale aged in Leopold Bros. Fernet barrels with single-origin Ghana cocoa husks from Nuance Chocolate in Fort Collins. The beer will hit 8%-AbV and it will be bottled on Nitro in 750ml bottles. Stay tuned for release info.

Changing the game with that Fernandito drop! Introducing our 2021 La Folie Grand Reserve release. This iconic dark sour ale is infused with Ghana cocoa husks and matured in Leopold Bros fernet and bourbon barrels. The beautifully balanced fernet notes give a nod to the popular Argentinian Fernandito drink, while the husks infuse their cocoa flavor quickly and deeply. Around for a limited time only.
