Natty Greene's Brewing Co. Releases Elm Street English IPA

Greensboro, NC – This month, Natty Greene’s Brewing Co. will release Elm Street English

IPA. The second seasonal of their 2015 portfolio, Elm Street English IPA is

named in honor of the street on which the original brewing facility is located. The

illustration found on Elm Street’s front label represents the silo that still resides at

this original location. With an ABV of 6.4%, an IBU of 55, and SRM of 11, Elm Street

is the American cousin of the classic English IPA.

Like a Traditional English IPA, Elm Street has a strong maltiness that is accented by

an earthy, herbal hop note. Its malt forward character is preserved and highlighted

by using a London-style yeast. Natty Greene’s adds their American touch by dry

hopping the brew with three Oregon varieties. Unlike the herbal-note hops used by

the Brits, Oregon hops give a fruitier flavor and peach-like tone that, added with the

malt profile, create a well-rounded and refined IPA.

Elm Street English IPA will enter distribution the first week of April. It will grace the

taps at Natty Greene’s Greensboro Brewhouse, Raleigh Brewhouse, and Bunker

Tasting Room from April through June. Look out for it on draft at restaurants and

bars and in bottles at grocery stores throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and

Virginia.
