Double Barrel-Aged Barleywine

This Barleywine-style ale was aged for 12 months in Bovine Outline Bourbon Barrels, then racked out into Cognac Barrels for 26 Months.

It ended up picking up a plethora of candied fruit and caramel notes – toffee, candied plums, and fruit sugars abound in this beer. It’s a truly excellent example of a Barleywine bringing the best of two different barrels to the table. ABV 14.2%
