Mims Distributing Joins Leinenkugel’s Canoes for a Cause Event 6/18

Raleigh, NC  Mims Distributing Company, a leading North Carolina wholesale beverage distributor, is once again partnering with Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company for the fourth annual Canoes for a Cause campaign on Saturday, June 18 from 9 a.m. to noon at Lake Johnson in Wake County. This year Leinenkugel’s and Mims Distributing have partnered with the Wake Soil and Water Conservation District and The River Guardian Foundation to host the volunteer litter cleanup event.

The Canoes for a Cause campaign exemplifies Leinenkugel’s passion for water quality. With water being the main ingredient in beer, Leinenkugel’s relies on local water sources for production efforts. Previously, Canoes for a Cause events have been held in Chicago, Denver, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Madison, Wisconsin and Cleveland. Mims Distributing’s support of the event is part of the company’s commitment to clean, contaminate-free waterways and dedication to preserving North Carolina’s natural resources.
Participants will gather to clean the lake by canoe and kayak or on foot, and following the cleanup, there will be a volunteer appreciation party with Leinenkugel’s beers and prizes. Pre-registration is requested and can be completed online by visiting http://bit.ly/28g7GRU.
