Karl Strauss Original Columbia St San Diego Pub Reopens

Excellent news, beer friends.

We’re thrilled to announce that our first brewpub on Columbia Street—the birthplace of San Diego’s craft beer movement—has been completely remodeled and is now open for business! We’ve overhauled our entire bar and dining room area with a sleek new look, plus we’ve forged a brand-new event space that’s cozied up next to our brewhouse. Yup, that means you can book your next gathering at our new digs right now.

Back in 1989, we ignited the craft beer renaissance that forever changed the industry. This remodel is a tribute to that legacy and a celebration of our enduring leadership in the craft beer world.

What’s next? With our 36th anniversary right around the corner in February, stay tuned for details on special celebrations. In the meantime, our world-class beers and signature grub are ready to greet you. Grab your friends, book your next event, and come see the updated space with a cold one in hand!
