Indeed Brewing to Release Wooden Soul Barrel-Aged Beer Collaboration with Terzo Restaurant

MINNEAPOLIS, MN , JANUARY 17, 2018: Indeed Brewing is excited to announce its newest Wooden Soul release, Terzo Barrel Blend, a collaboration ale with Terzo Restaurant & Wine Bar in Southwest Minneapolis. The beer will go on tap at the restaurant on January 24th, and is the first collaboration featuring a hand-selected blend from the Wooden Soul barrel room.

“We’ve always had great appreciation for beer at Terzo, and being able to help put together a sour beer made so much sense,” says Terzo co-owner Charlie Broder. “Like wine, sour beers are complex, nuanced, and carry that acidity that allows for food pairing. Having access to the individual barrels and working with Adam to create a unique blend is extremely exciting — we’re itching for people to try it."

The blend was selected back in November, when several Terzo staff members, including Broder, joined Wooden Soul head brewer Adam Theis in the barrel room for a tasting. The group tasted ales from multiple barrels and took notes on the individual characteristics of each one. The result, Terzo Barrel Blend, is a hand-selected and well-balanced blend that pours a slightly hazy red with flashes of brown and orange.

Brewer Theis describes the beer as vinous and wine-like, boasting notes of tart red cherry and raisin, along with aromas of sour cherry and dried fruit. The blend was created from four barrels that had been aging for roughly one year.

Terzo Barrel Blend will go on tap at Terzo Restaurant & Wine Bar on January 24th at 5pm. The limited release ale will be available by the glass and as part of a beer flight also featuring Indeed’s Whiskey Queen Imperial Stout and Zwickelbier. Suggested food pairings for each beer will be available. After the initial release, the blend will be available at Terzo and in Indeed’s Northeast taproom.
