Hi-Wire Brewing Announces the Release of Summer Seasonals

Asheville, NC – With the changing of the seasons comes two new seasonal releases in

Hi-Wire Brewing’s lineup. Aerialist Hoppy Lager is being released for the first time on 4/1/16 as

Hi-Wire’s Summer Lager Seasonal, and warm weather favorite Uprisin’ Hefeweizen returns as

their Summer Ale Seasonal on 4/8/16.

Aerialist perfectly pairs two styles of beer: A German-Style Lager and an American

IPA. Brewed with their house lager yeast and hopped with Citra, Mandarina Bavaria, and Huell

Melon, this drinkable summer beer has big hop flavors of citrus and tropical fruit which give way

to more subtle flavors of peach, melon, and apricot with a smooth, balanced finish. “This beer

combines the profiles of two of my favorite styles, lagers and IPAs,” says Hi-Wire’s Head

Brewer, Luke Holgate. “The light grain bill and clean lager fermentation profile create the perfect

canvas for these hops to shine. This is a refreshing, warm-weather beer with a bite.”

Hi-Wire is also bringing back an old favorite as this summer’s Ale Seasonal, Uprisin’

Hefeweizen. Brewed with North Carolina grown wheat from Riverbend Malt House located in

Asheville, this traditional German Hefeweizen is all about the yeast, with ester notes of banana

backed by tones of clove and peppercorn. “It’s a blast being able to work with locally grown and

malted wheat from Riverbend,” states Lead Production Brewer, John Silver. “They do a

phenomenal job, which is apparent in the final product.”

The 5.5% ABV Aerialist and 5% ABV Uprisin’ will hit shelves in six-packs across North

Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee over the next two weeks. Both beers will also be

available on draft in numerous bars and restaurants across these territories through July.

Hi-Wire’s New Lineup of Beers

In summer of 2015 Hi-Wire Brewing opened a 27,000 square foot production brewery in

the Biltmore Village area of Asheville, North Carolina. This took the then two-year-old brewery

from a single, small tasting room to a regional brewery with two locations that boasts a

combined capacity of 70,000 barrels. This increase in space gave the brewery the opportunity to

expand the variety of beers they offered craft beer lovers. As a result Hi-Wire has expanded

their portfolio to include a quarterly release of lagers as well as a wide variety of small-batch

specialty ales.
