Ground Breaker Releases Amber Lager & Cantankerous Stout for the Holiday Season

Portland, Oregon’s only gluten-free craft brewery is dropping two seasonal releases just in time for the holiday shopping season. Ground Breaker Brewing released Amber Lager, a Bavarian-inspired lager, on November 12th. On December 10th, the brewery will release Cantankerous Stout, a dry Irish stout.

These beers will be available at the pub, through distribution partners, and online at the Ground Breaker Beer Store. Ground Breaker will be offering a 15% Black Friday discount for 4-packs in their pub and on the Beer Store website. Shoppers can use the code BF25 from 11/26 through 12/1 to receive their discount at checkout.

“We’re very proud of Amber Lager. It’s one of the first lagers we ever produced and it is still one of the most requested,” said Jesse Bufton, Manager at Ground Breaker. “The beer pours a beautiful medium-amber and carries notes of toast and bread with a crisp but malty finish.”

Cantankerous, a dry Irish stout, is brewed with dark roasted malts from Grouse Malt House and Eckert Malting & Brewing. The beer is gently hopped with Pacific Northwest-grown Willamette hops.

“It’s a good contrast to our other stout offerings,” said Head Brewer Gloria Zeiger. “Dry, but with a deep roasted maltiness.”

Ground Breaker’s Amber Lager and Cantankerous Stout will be distributed across several states including Oregon, Washington, California, Colorado, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. They will also be available for purchase on their website for customers in Oregon, Ohio, Vermont, Kentucky, Virginia, New Hampshire, and D.C.
