Frankenmuth Twisted Helles Cans Coming in June

(Frankenmuth, MI) – With the warm season around the corner, Frankenmuth Brewery tapped a fresh batch of Twisted Helles Summer Lager at its restaurant on Thursday, April 11, to commemorate the beginning of Michigan’s sunny season and kick off the promotional launch of Twisted Helles Summer Lager cans, the brewery’s first “craft in a can” product in over 50 years.

Twisted Helles Summer Lager is the perfect seasonal brew to pair with your favorite Michigan summer activities whether it’s boating, camping, fishing, golfing, BBQ-ing, etc. The ‘twist’ of our namesake comes from the memorable zests of orange and lemon perfectly balanced with the unmistakable presence of German noble hops and malt.

Twisted Helles Summer Lager was created last year by Brewmaster Jeff Coon but inspired by his daughter who suggested adding citrus zest while making a batch of helles-style lager. After customers raved about the beer, he knew he created something special. “Our Twisted Helles Summer Lager is a light color, yet full-flavored beer, tinged with natural orange and lemon zest. True to its style, bitterness has no place in a carefully crafted Helles lager or in a fun-filled Michigan summer.” says Brewmaster Coon.

Twisted Helles Summer Lager will be available in six-pack 12 oz. cans in major chain and retail stores throughout Michigan beginning the first week of June. Until then, consumers will be able to order Twisted Helles on draft throughout April and May at select restaurants and bars throughout Metro Detroit.
