Founders Adding Más Agave Grapefruit To Barrel Aged Series in May 2020

This morning we get our first peek at a new Barrel Aged Series variant coming in 2020 from Founders Brewing in Grand Rapids, MI.  This is Más Agave Grapefruit and it will be a new variants that will be released along side with Más Agave in May 2020 ( their 2020 release calendar is here).  Founders does mention a variant coming in 2020, but they have not released these details yet (until I posted this-–-see below), so here’s your inside line on the flavor of that variant.  Más Agave Grapefruit  will be an imperial gose-style ale brewed with grapefruit and agave added.  The beer is aged in Tequila barrels and packaged in 12oz bottles.  Stay tuned for accurate AbV (around 10%-AbV) & full May-July 2020 release details.

Más Agave Grapefruit

In tandem with Más Agave’s return, we’ll also be releasing Más Agave Grapefruit! The cocktail inspiration lives on. Our imperial gose is brewed with agave and sea salt before being aged in tequila barrels. But it doesn’t end there. Once it’s pulled from the barrels, it gets a dose of fresh grapefruit juice to ramp up the tanginess and to pay homage to our other favorite tequila-based cocktail, the Paloma. Sweet, salty, and mouth-puckeringly delicious. ¡Más Agave… Grapefruit! ABV should be around 10%.

It’ll be available in 4-packs of 12oz bottles and 750mL bottles from May-July 2020. Taproom release is TBD.
