DuClaw Working On The PastryArchy Super Freak

This morning I have another decadent pastry sweet stout on the way, coming from DuClaw Brewing in Ewing, New Jersey—and yes, remember, you can’t say “Brewing” without “Ewing.” DuClaw Brewing has carved out a strong reputation for dessert‑inspired beers and indulgent dark ales, and this latest release continues that tradition in bold, sweet‑tooth‑friendly fashion.

The new beer is called The PastryArchy Super Freak, and it’s brewed as a rich and flavorful coconut caramel chocolate imperial stout designed to appeal to lovers of pastry stouts, sweet stouts, and dessert beers. This Imperial stout is brewed with lactose and natural flavors, giving it a smooth, creamy mouthfeel and layered sweetness that complements its deep roasted malt backbone. Expect flavors that lean heavily into chocolate richness, caramelized sugar, and toasted coconut character, hallmarks of a well‑executed pastry‑style imperial stout.
