Double Mountain Releasing Love Shed IPA Collaboration
| A Collaboration Beer Raising Awareness for the Water That Makes the Pacific Northwest Possible In the heart of the Columbia River Gorge, water shapes nearly everything. It carves mountains, feeds farms, fills rivers, and at Double Mountain Brewery & Cidery, it’s one of the key ingredients in our beer. With the release of Love Shed IPA, we’re proud to team up with Coleman Hop Farms, Montana Craft Malt, and Oregon Wild’s Oregon Brewshed Alliance to celebrate and protect one of the Pacific Northwest’s most precious resources: clean water. As you know, great beer starts with clean water. The Oregon Brewshed® Alliance brings together breweries, farmers, conservationists, and craft beer lovers to advocate for healthy forests and protected watersheds throughout Oregon. Through special brews, events, hikes, and education, the Alliance works to protect the waters that make Northwest beer possible… and we’re proud to be part of it. Love Shed IPA is a throwback-inspired Pacific Northwest IPA brewed with reverence for the classic Northwest ales that helped define the region, while embracing the expressive hop character of modern IPA brewing. At 6.5% ABV and 55 IBUs, it pours a glowing rusted-tin hue with aromas of resinous citrus, pineapple, mango, orange marmalade, and a touch of dank cannabis character. Rounded malt gives way to Meyer lemon, evergreen, and ripe orange before finishing crisp, dry, and pleasantly bitter. The grain bill leans intentionally malt-forward, featuring Rahr Alex Pilsner alongside Montana Craft Malt British Pale, Steffi Vienna, Cara 20, and Best Malz Red X, a nod to Northwest IPAs of decades past. We layered Strata, Simcoe, and Citra in the kettle, Estate Cascade and Citra in the hop back, then finished with a dry hop of Citra, Simcoe, and Galaxy for modern aromatics that leap from the glass. “Water is all around us here in the Gorge. We’re lucky,” says Matt Swihart, owner and brewmaster at Double Mountain. “We happened to land in a spot that has some of the most wonderful water to brew with and play in. But with changing climates and increasing pressure on natural resources, we feel it’s important to shine a light on how precious that water truly is.” Packaged in our signature 500mL reusable bottles and available on draft, Love Shed IPA continues our long-standing commitment to sustainability, refillable packaging, and supporting organizations that care for the places we call home. And yes, according to the brewers, the Spotify pairing is literally “just one live B-52’s show.” Somewhere between the evergreen bitterness, glowing citrus, and tropical aromatics, there’s a little “Rock Lobster” energy in this beer: strange, vibrant, nostalgic, and impossible not to smile at. As the song reminds us: “Red snappers snapping. Clamshells clapping. Mussels flexing. Flippers flipping.” SPOTIFY PLAYLIST |

ABOUT DOUBLE MOUNTAIN BREWERY & CIDERY
Double Mountain is a Brewery & Cidery based in Hood River, Oregon that extends a warm welcome to all. Our brewery in Hood River boasts our original taproom where you can experience the heart of our craft. We have two additional taprooms in Portland, located in the Woodstock and Overlook neighborhoods, and a kitchen at the Aladdin Theater, open during showtimes. We strive to create a living room atmosphere, where we spin vinyl, offer weekly free live music, and host trivia nights. Our food philosophy revolves around sharing moments with friends. We offer various New Haven-style pizzas, sandwiches, salads, and an array of other dishes that proudly steer clear of the fryer. We take pride in our hop-forward beers, crisp unsweetened dry-ciders, and house-made n/a root beer and ginger ale. We hope you’ll stop by and share a pint with us!
Double Mountain may be found on tap and in refillable bottles throughout the Pacific Northwest.
