Dogfish Head Releasing Covered in Nuggs & Sage Against The Myrcene

The days are getting shorter and the weather is cooling down, which only means one thing … winter is near! To soothe the winter blues, we’re releasing two new seasonal beers for you to embrace this winter – Covered in Nuggs and Sage Against The Myrcene.  zzubreebym

Covered In Nuggs is a classically dank, piney and citrusy beer that scratches every nook and cranny of that IPA itch. If you’ve been to Brewings & Eats in Rehoboth and this beer sounds familiar, you’ve probably seen it there! Bursting with bright notes of citrus and heady evergreens, this American IPA was first brewed there in 2018 to celebrate National IPA Day. Since then, it’s been a staple among southern Delaware drinkers. Between this and an overwhelming amount of love on our Drink Lab (formerly known as Beer Exploration Journal) drinker feedback platform, we felt it was time to bring Covered In Nuggs to beer lovers from coast to coast.

As our fourth and final beer in our 2024 Art Series, the Covered In Nuggs artwork depicts a bearded critter that’s, fittingly, covered in hop nuggets and tossing up dual peace signs. Dogfish Head founder & brewer Sam Calagione worked with our pals at Methane Studios on this by requesting artwork inspired by our very own brewer, Bryan Selders. Covered In Nuggs was Bryan’s beer-child in his days as the Head Brewer at Brewings & Eats, so it was only fitting to show him some love on the packaging. Though you might not see Bryan throwing some deuces up anytime soon, we certainly see a resemblance. 

In addition to Covered In Nuggs, we’re also dropping our latest Winter Variety Pack featuring Sage Against the Myrcene, an all-new variety pack exclusive. Sage Against the Myrcene marries the bold hop flavors of a traditional IPA with the earthy, aromatic qualities of white sage to create a truly one-of-a-kind drinking experience. This brew offers subtle herbal undertones and a crisp, refreshing finish that invigorates the senses to leave a lasting impression.

In our Winter Variety Pack, Sage Against the Myrcene is featured alongside three other off-centered ales, including 60 Minute IPA, Blue Hen Pilsner, and, that’s right, Namaste! You’ll want to bend over backwards for this pack this winter!
