Dogfish Head / Burley Oak Co-Brewed “Pants are Cumbersome” Coming 1/15
From Dogfish Head:
It’s a Brewer’s Happy Hour, but not just any Brewer’s Happy Hour … our friends from Burley Oakare joining us!
Back in November we had an awesome brew day with our friends at Burley Oak to create ‘Pants are Cumbersome’ – a sour stout brewed with local rye, wheat, beach plums and a house-strain of lacto. Clocking in at 6% ABV, it’s already made an appearance at Burley Oak, but now it’s our turn!
Join Dogfish Head founder & president Sam Calagione and Burley Oak owner & brewer Bryan Brushmiller for a special Happy Hour at our Rehoboth brewpub. We’ll be tapping ‘Pants are Cumbersome’ at 5:30 p.m. with Sam and Bryan on hand to chat all things pants … er, beer.
We hope you to see you there, cheers!
Pants are Cumbersome, 6% ABV, 20 IBU
This is a CollabALEration brewed between Dogfish Head and Burley Oak. Everything was sourced local (well, as much as possible) – beach plums from the lower shore of DE provide a nice sweet flavor, the chocolate-rye from Burley Oak’s farmer in Snow Hill adds roastiness, all of which balance the sour from a house made strain of lactobacillus.
