Dock St / Vicaris – Philly Beer Week Philly Tripel

UPDATE 5 May 2014…the official press release
Brewery Dilewyns is releasing a limited edition beer, Philly Tripel, the only beer brewed in Belgium for Philly Beer Week, beginning May 30. Philly Beer Week–the longest running and largest week-long celebration of craft beer in America–has sponsored a collaboration between one of their city’s own breweries and a great brewery from Belgium. This year, Brewery Dilewyns in Belgium worked together with the team at Philadelphia’s own Dock St Brewing to create a beer representing the rich brewing history of both cities. Dock Street traveled to the small city of Dendermonde in Belgium to brew at Brewery Dilewyns. The resulting limited edition beer, brewed exclusively for Philly Beer Week, is Philly Tripel. A Belgian Abbey Tripel (8.5% ABV), the beer is brewed with organic acacia honey from Belgium. Known for its clean and floral flavor, acacia honey gives the beer a delicate hint of sweetness, along with warm flavors of vanilla. Brewed only once, you won’t want to miss out on this spectacular limited-edition beer. Philly Tripel will be released at the Opening Tap ceremony to kick-start the week’s festivities on Friday, May 30, when Philadelphia’s Mayor Nutter performs the traditional first tap. Philly Beer Week runs from May 30 through June 8. Total Beverage Solution acquired the rights to the Brewery Dilewyns’ portfolio in February and are proud and excited to be representing the brand. Philly Tripel is now available for pre-order at [email protected].
