DESTIHL’s ‘Dosvidanya Day’ Tickets on Sale This Friday

Normal, IL – October 3, 2018 – DESTIHL Brewery is gearing up for its highly anticipated Dosvidanya® Day Bottle Release Party, taking place on Saturday, December 1st, 2018, from 11am to 4pm. Tickets will be available for purchase through Eventbrite.com starting on Friday, October 5th at 10am CST. Last year’s tickets sold out before the event, so set a reminder to #GetYourDosOn!

Like a Russian Matryoshka or ‘nesting’ doll, the secret of Dosvidanya [doh svee-dah-nee-yah] Russian Imperial Stout lies locked deep within her mysterious & elaborate wooden layers. The hidden soul of this barrel-aged beer that we said Dosvidanya or ‘goodbye’ to several months ago is revealed on Dos Day.
Dosvidanya is widely recognized as one of the best Barrel-Aged Russian Imperial Stouts on the market, having won back-to-back Gold Medals in the most competitive Strong Stout category and Best-in-Show accolades at the National Wood-Aged Beer Competition held in Chicago at the Festival of Barrel-Aged Beer (‘FoBAB’) in 2015 (for Dosvidanya) and Runner-Up Best in Show in 2016 (for Dosvidanya Rye). In addition, Dosvidanya is the 2015 GABF® Bronze Medal winner in the Wood and Barrel-Aged Strong Stout category. Dosvidanya has also been named the “Best Beer in Illinois” by ‘Craft Beer and Brewing Magazine’.

Dosvidanya Day is an experience, not just a bottle release, featuring live bands in the Brewery and our Barrel Room, self-guided tours of our production brewery, face time with our brewers, samples of experimental Dosvidanya and Privyet variants and other rare barrel-aged beers, samples of Dosvidanya Barrel-aged Coffee from Cooper Coffee, and apparel screen-printing by Meltdown Creative Works. Plus, in addition to Dosvidanya Bourbon & Dosvidanya Rye, we’ve added a brand new variant this year: Dosvidanya Toasted Coconut! Bottles of this limited release WILL ONLY be available at the Brewery.

Ticket Information

TICKETS TO DOSVIDANYA DAY are limited. Tickets will be sold for $80* each on Eventbrite as well as on DESTIHL’s Dosvidanya Day Facebook event page until they sell out. These tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If there are any tickets left once Dosvidanya Day starts, they can be purchased at the brewery during the event for $90.

In addition to the items above, regular ticket purchasers will have the opportunity (only while supplies last & during their initial Eventbrite.com ticket transaction) to purchase two different cellared vertical packs. These additional packs will be sold as an ‘add on’ for $80* each until they sell out. If there are any packs left once Dosvidanya Day starts, regular ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase them in-person at the brewery during the event on a first-come, first-served basis:

“+1” Tickets will be available ($15 – One per each regular ticket purchased + Eventbrite fees) and will allow a guest to attend & experience the exclusive Brewery & Barrel Room tastings and events. “+1” ticket holders will not receive any bottle allocations or be allowed to purchase additional bottles in the Barrel Room.

Dosvidanya in the Beer Hall

Guests of the Beer Hall can also enjoy Dosvidanya Day! Timed releases of Dosvidanya on draft (4oz or 8oz pours) will also be released throughout the day in the Beer Hall and are available for sale to all in attendance (no ticket required), while supplies last:

Additional Notes

Dosvidanya Bourbon & Dosvidanya Rye both clock in at 12.5% ABV, while Dosvidanya Toasted Coconut is 15.5% ABV. These beers are among the best in the world for their style and can be cellared in a cool environment. We suggest enjoying one now and laying one down in the cellar as you see fit.
