DESTIHL Brewery Announces 2019 Release Calendar

NORMAL, IL  12/17/18 – A new WiLD SOUR SERIES^TM seasonal, innovative DeadHead^® IPA Series releases and a tropical blonde ale loaded with fruit are just a sample of DESTIHL Brewery’s incredible 2019 lineup.

“Since opening our new production brewery in May 2017 and especially throughout this past year, we have utilized our pilot brewhouse for experimenting and innovating with new beer styles and now new brands which are ready to scale up for distribution in 2019 throughout our 30-state footprint,” says Matt Potts, Founder and CEO of DESTIHL Brewery.

DESTIHL’s industry-changing, top-selling WiLD SOUR SERIES, which was one of the first canned sour beers on the market, will have a new addition to its growing family of refreshing, mouth-puckering beers in 2019, specifically Piña Colada Gose, brewed with pineapple and coconut for a tropical twist on its classic Gose ale.  Piña Colada Gose will hit shelves for the first time in 4-packs of 12 oz. cans from April-June. This beer joins the seasonal WiLD SOUR line-up of Apricot in January-March, Blueberry Gose in July-September and finally Cranberry Criek in October-December, on top of the brewery’s year-round Here Gose Nothin’® (the one that started it all), Flanders Red and Synchopathic ® Dry-Hopped Sour Ale, which, along with Lynnbrook® Raspberry Berliner Weisse, are also available in the brewery’s WiLD PACK: a 12-pack of sour cans which were released in select markets in 2018 and which will continue to be scaled up in distribution in 2019. The brewery will also distribute new, innovative, special releases of WiLD SOUR beer in cans each quarter next year to select markets, which will be announced at a later date and will have very limited availability.

DESTIHL has also found much success with its innovative, DeadHead^®IPA Series in 2018, and new beers will join that lineup in 2019 as well. Joining its Touch of Haze^TM(a Hazy IPA in production & distribution now), will be Haze of the Dead^TM (a Hazy Double IPA coming in February through April), Extended Jam^TM (a Tropical IPA due out from May-July, and Funkengruven^TM (a fruited, tart IPA which combines DESTIHL’s innovation and popularity with sour & fruited beers with the ever-popular IPA style to produce a beer that will be the best of all worlds in one can). Per Matt, “Obviously we love sour beer at DESTIHL, but I will also always be a hop head by nature as well, so to see the growth and success of the DeadHead IPA Series has been an awesome addition to our production and distribution portfolio, and to have our beer worlds collide with a Tart IPA like Funkengruven is exciting for us as a brewery”. Earlier this year, the brewery added a labeler to its CFT canning line, which is allowing DESTIHL to release smaller volumes and greater varieties of new, innovative beers and also a growing number of collaborations with some great breweries around the country. The DeadHead IPA Series is sold in 6-packs of 12-oz cans.

Rounding out DESTIHL’s 2019 release calendar will be its core offerings of its popular Amra^® Mango IPA, Weissenheimer^®Hefeweizen, Normal Pils, Vertex IPA^® and its core seasonals: Moonjumper^®Milk Stout (available now through February and again next September-December) and a new beer in cans, namely Hawaii Five Ale, a tropical blonde ale brewed with pineapple, coconut, peach, mango and guava. Additionally, the highly awarded, barrel-aged Dosvidanya^®Russian Imperial Stout will make its annual fall return.

Recently, Forbes magazine included DESTIHL Brewery in its list of “Best Breweries in Chicago & Illinois” and Thrillist magazine singled out DESTIHL Brewery in ranking Illinois 8th out of all 50 states, according to their beer.
