This March, Creature Comforts will release Common Things and Rhonda from its taproom. Both limited releases will be available from the brewery on March 20.
Common Things is a 6.2% ABV mixed culture Saison made with local honey from Blue Ridge Honey Company in Lakemont, GA, wheat from DaySpring Farms (Danielsville, GA), and a blend of American and European hops. The beer is designed to be dry, crisp, and drinkable. Common Things’ moderate acidity, soft general demeanor, and nice hoppy presence works with the honey addition to balance the funky, earthy, herbal, and grassy flavor notes. Though simple in composition, the brewery believes its house mixed culture, focused process, and patience make this bright and complex beer come to life.
Rhonda is a 6.8% ABV blended oak-aged beer with local blueberries from Rhonda’s Blueberries and Buffalo Creek Berry Farm’s 2020 harvest. After aging on 1,500 pounds of local blueberries, sourced within 30 miles of the brewery, Rhonda is a beautiful expression of the local blueberry crop. This beer is a proud addition to Creature Comforts’ fruited mixed-culture farm celebrations, in a continuing effort to explore the historical relationship between brewers and farmers.
