Cape May Brewing Celebrates 5 Years

Cape May, NJ – After five years, Cape May Brewing Company is celebrating this milestone of an anniversary with an all-out bash. On July 29th at their Tasting Room at 1288 Hornet Rd, Cape May, NJ, they’ll be partying all day with giveaways, special merchandise, and, of course, beer.

“Five years ago, we were brewing at my parents’ house in Avalon,” recollects president and co-owner Ryan Krill. “Now we’ve got 23,000 square feet, a supportive community, and a staff of over 40 enthusiastic and talented individuals working toward crafting the best beer in New Jersey.”

Once they moved into their first home at Cape May Airport, CMBC was brewing 12-gallon batches, with their Tasting Room only open four hours a week. Now, 1,890-gallon batches are the norm, and the Tasting Room is open seven days a week from 11am to 9pm.

While the party goes on all day, visitors will be able to take exclusive tours of headquarters at 409 Breakwater Rd, led by the founders of CMBC: President Ryan Krill will be leading a tour at 4pm, COO Chris Henke at 5pm, and co-owner Bob Krill at 6pm. During the tour, attendees will be able to take a taste from the brite tank while getting the inside scoop of what’s brewing at Cape May.

And the latest brew is their Anniversary Ale 5.0. The next wave in their quarterly double IPA project, this Anniversary Ale brings together the slightly malty finish and piney and floral notes of their flagship Cape May IPA with a hint of dankness and citrusy aroma from their Coastal Evacuation. A nod to everything they’ve brewed thus far with a look at the greatness still to come, this Anniversary Ale is the perfect way to ring in the next five years.

Visitors will have the chance to enter a drawing for a gift basket with a $100 value, as well as a sneak tasting of the latest release in their Barrel Aged Series. Special one-off recipes will be designed by each of the founders, and a Flagship Five-Year Firkin is in the works, showcasing one of CMBC’s flagship brews. And, of course, all of your favorite CMBC staff will be on hand for the good times and festivities.

Guests will be able to grab a commemorative pint glass with a tasting while relaxing in CMBC’s new, expanded beer garden. The outdoor seating will be increased by five times the size, with enlarged seating, foliage, and fire pits planned.
