California Wild Ales Launches New Community Giving Initiative

Bi-monthly charity program to debut May 1 with support for Rady Children’s Health

San Diego, California — April 18, 2026 — California Wild Ales today announced the launch of a new community-focused giving initiative at its Sherman St. Barrel House, reinforcing the company’s commitment to supporting local organizations. Beginning May 1, a portion of all Barrel House sales will be donated to a rotating local charity, with a new partner featured every two months.

The initiative will debut with Rady Children’s Health supporting the hospital’s Extra Life Tabletop Program. Extra Life unites gamers to raise funds for Children’s Miracle Network, with all contributions from San Diego staying local to fund critical care programs at Rady Children’s.

To celebrate the partnership, California Wild Ales will host a series of community events, including two Super Smash Bros. tournaments, with all proceeds benefiting Extra Life.

The first tournament is scheduled for May 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Sherman St. Barrel House, located at 3826 Sherman St., San Diego, CA 92110. The event will feature:

• A limited field of 24 players
• Multiple gameplay stations, including a large-format 20-foot screen
• Entertainment for both participants and spectators
