Burial & TRVE Team Up For GABF Events & Collaboration Brews

Burial Beer Co. is partnering with TRVE Brewing for their Denver, Colorado debut during the annual Great American Beer Festival week slated for October 4^th-8^th.

The breweries met at the TRVE tasting room during GABF in fall of 2015. A realization of the similarities in brands, beers, and view of the craft beer industry was immediate.

“With TRVE their reputation preceded them. I knew them as this small brewery in Denver with a metal music vibe,” states Tim Gormley, Co-Owner and Head Brewer of Burial Beer Co. “When I saw their visuals and began to perceive the type of people they were, I could see how inspired they were by music and how much they care about their staff. I knew before I even walked in the door I would love everything about what they were doing. When I finally got to go to their taproom. I loved it as much as I knew I would.”

Burial Beer Co. is a 10-barrel brewery operating out of the South Slope of Asheville, NC. The brewery opened in mid 2013 on a 1-barrel system (home brew size) and quickly outgrew the two-keg yield per batch. A penchant for metal-driven art (lead by artist David Paul Seymour) and affinity for revitalizing abandoned areas of their town as well as forgotten beer styles has lead the charge for the development of Burial’s brand.

Plans to partner with TRVE developed during TRVE’s trip to Asheville to collaborate on a Black Braggot appropriately coined “Ritalknife” which will release later this year.

“Everything about Burial is fantastic. When we were out in Asheville for the collaboration, we couldn’t possibly have felt more at home than we did hanging out at their brewery.” Stated Nick Nunns, Founder and Proprietor of TRVE. “Their entire ethos matches ours in a fantastic way. It goes beyond the obvious comparisons made about our two breweries, and into a domain on a much different level. Seeing as how we’re lucky enough to already have the ability to act as a wholesaler in Colorado, it seemed like a total layup for us to help Burial get their beer into and around Denver so we could throw some killer parties.”

Burial and TRVE will partner Tuesday, Oct. 4^th with five beer offerings from Burial at the TRVE taproom and again on Wednesday, Oct 5^th for the Breast Friends Event at Hi-Dive benefiting Keep-A-Breast along side Ratio Beerworks and Revolution Brewing.

Plans for additional collaborations on both events and beers are in the works, and Denver and Asheville can plan on periodic appearances of the partnership of TRVE and Burial.

“If you can sit down with someone and share music and educate each other on music, and sit down with someone and share beers and educate each other on beer that’s the most powerful connection I (personally) can think of,” concludes Gormley.
