Bridgeport Brewing–Raven Mad 2011

A big thanks you to my pal Jeff Edgerton from Bridgeport Brewing for sending me some Raven Mad Imperial Porter 2011 to sample.  This big 7.5% ABV  Imperial Porter is 50% ale aged in whiskey barrels & 50% ale aged with oak, and it came out great.   We were lucky enough to show off this new label back in Sept…and here’s a look back at the 2010 Raven Mad packaged with 3D glasses for the special 3D label!  Cheers and thanks Jeff…..this is one everyone should check out.

Raven Mad Imperial Porter

A True to its roots, this dark amber brew is a blend of ale aged in whiskey barrels and ale aged on oak in tank, deploying ale malt, chocolate malt and roasted barley and featuring classic Nugget hops. This delicious Brandy Snifter Beer is perfect for the next time you lose internet connectivity!. The triumphant result has a top note of oak and hints of vanilla.
