BrewDog Releasing Manic Mango – BrewDog vs Brewski Collaboration

As we revealed in January we have teamed up with a collection of awesome European breweries on a series of ten different beers that will be launched in their country of origin – to celebrate the amazing support we have received from our growing community of European Equity Punks! Following the launch of our first three collaboration beers in Italy, the Netherlands and Spain, we’re keeping the ball rolling with another launch event at an amazing new bar in Sweden…

Manic Mango – BrewDog vs Brewski

The fourth beer in this series is a thank-you to three communities that have supported us from overseas since the very beginning. As an exclusive for our Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish friends we created a beer in collaboration with Marcus Hjalmarsson from Sweden’s Brewski.

Manic Mango is a fruit-filled 6% mango IPA – totally unfiltered and crammed to the brim with ripe mango, juicy orange, peach and pineapple. In the glass the beer glows, with wheat and oats dancing alongside the extra pale malt to give a thick, juice-like appearance. Magnum and Citra were added to the kettle, with Nelson Sauvin, Citra and Idaho 7 added to the whirlpool.

Idaho 7 is a relatively new American hop, first released in 2015. It boasts pungent tropical fruit and citrus, with big notes of pine, which works perfectly alongside the citrus fruits and gooseberry flavours delivered by Nelson and Citra. Over 200 litres of Mango Juice went into this small-batch brew, and the final beer is an explosion of fruit with a soft bitterness to balance out the sweetness.

Anyone who’s ever kept an eye on the Swedish beer scene will know that Brewski are sought-after pioneers of fruit-infused beers, and we’re stoked that we got a chance to create our own homage to this mouth-watering style with their founder.

So that’s four down and six to go. Over the next few months we’re going to be welcoming even more talented brewers to our Ellon site to create some more small-batch beers:

· Austria – Bevog

· Denmark – To Øl

Manic Mango is set to launch at 4pm tomorrow, Thursday 19th April at Barski, Brewski’s new craft beer and ramen joint in Helsingborg, Sweden. It’ll then be available to purchase in Systembolaget from 4th May 2018. Only those living in Finland and Norway will also be able to get their hands on it – this is a super-limited thank-you to our friends in Scandinavia and the Nordic region.

We love the fact that beer-fans from all corners of Europe have joined our community and invested in Equity for Punks V – it proves that when it comes to craft beer borders mean nothing with everyone sharing the same passion.
