I brought you a peek at thie original Harvest Lager beer back in April, and now I have the full details from Harpoon in Boston, Massachusetts:

BOSTON, MA — Just in time for International Beer Day (August 1, 2025), two brands with New England roots but loved by fans across the globe—Harpoon Brewery and L.L.Bean—are announcing the return of their limited-edition beer: the Harpoon x L.L.Bean Lager. Brewed for those who live to be outside—and love to cap off a great day with a great beer—this easy-drinking lager will hit shelves and taps in late July across New England and beyond.

After an overwhelmingly positive response to the lager’s crisp, refreshing taste, the beer, originally named Harvest Lager, returns this year with a simplified name but the same delicious formulation. The Harpoon x L.L.Bean Lager brings craft beer fans the balance of a light malt backbone with a clean finish that’s perfect to enjoy year-round, from days at the beach to trailheads to tailgates.

“After seeing how much people connected with this beer last fall, we knew we had to bring it back,” said Dan Kenary, CEO and Co-Founder of Harpoon. “Made with Maine-grown malt, the lager is the perfect embodiment of the spirit of New England craftsmanship and the values and heritage shared by our two brands.”

In celebration of International Beer Day and the continued brand collaboration, a Harpoon x L.L.Bean Lager Release Party will be held on August 1 from 4 – 8PM at Harpoon Brewery in Boston’s Seaport. Fans are encouraged to join the outdoor party featuring beer sampling, food, live music, games, and exclusive giveaways—along with a special visit from L.L.Bean’s iconic Bootmobile. Hub Sports Boston will also be opening up the Pickleball Social Club for Community Play. It will be a fun and easy way to give pickleball a try and gather outside. More party details can be found here: https://www.harpoonbrewery.com/events/category/brewery-event/boston/

“At L.L.Bean, we believe the outdoors brings out the best in all of us,” said Nick Wilkoff, Chief Marketing Officer at L.L.Bean. “This partnership presents a new opportunity for us to encourage folks to ‘Gather Friends, Get Outdoors’ and grab a great beer from our friends at Harpoon.”

Available in 16 oz 4-packs and on draft at select bars and restaurants, the Harpoon x L.L.Bean Lager is a 5% ABV brew. To find the Harpoon x L.L.Bean Lager near you, visit www.harpoonbrewery.com/beer-finder.

This 1 Aug 2025 Release Party Update from Harpoon:

Harpoon Brewery was founded in 1986 by beer lovers who wanted more and better beer options. When the Brewery was founded, Harpoon was issued Brewing Permit #001 by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts since it was the first to brew commercially in Boston after a dormant period of about 25 years.
