Bagby Beer Co Signs a Lease in Oceanside, CA

Great news from the Bagby Beer Co started by former Pizza Port brewer Jeff Bagby:

Location 
At last – we can share this awesome news with everyone! The lease negotiation phase was an arduous one – one we are really glad is now over.  The home of Bagby Beer is in North County, right on South Coast Highway in Oceanside – formerly the location of the historical Continental Motors and BMW Oceanside.  The property has been owned and loved by an awesome local family for decades, and we are honored to have the opportunity to be a part of its transformation.  And, it will be a significant transformation.  The site boasts three buildings surrounding something of a ‘courtyard’ which we hope to turn into some awesome outdoor drinking and dining space. The buildings themselves are spacious and will accommodate a large kitchen, two bars, two indoor dining areas, and a sizable brewhouse.  We can’t wait to get started on the construction. But first…

What’s Next?
We have adopted the adage ‘slow and steady wins the race’ – this process is not to be rushed.  It has been quite the challenge to take everything one day at a time, one decision at a time. We can’t help but feel that there are still a million more steps to go – each one just as important and requiring as much attention as the last.  What is most important, though, is that we take our time, to be as diligent as we can, to do things as ‘right’ as we can. 
High-level, here’s what the next few months might look like (not necessarily in this order):

1. Architect renderings and finalize design
2. Settle on and order brewing system
3. Engineering reports
4. City approvals & permits
5. ABC Licensing
6. Settle on ‘F, F & E" (fixtures, furniture, equipment)
7. Start buildout
