Angel City Brewery to Host Annual Avocado Fest Celebrating California’s Favorite Homegrown Fruit & Local Craft Beer

LOS ANGELES, CA  (July 18, 2023) – On Sunday, Aug. 6, Angel City Brewery & Public House will host its annual Avocado Fest, from noon to 7 p.m. This free event will feature avocado-themed games, giveaways, merchandise, live music, specialty tours, vendors and (of course) avocado-inspired food and beverages, including the highly anticipated return of the brewery’s Avocado Ale. Avocado Fest celebrates the culinary culture that is unique to southern California, as well as the versatility of the avocado, a fruit that works perfectly in a beer, a snack or a juggling competition! For this year’s festival, Angel City Brewery is releasing two Avocado-inspired ales. Its classic, fan-favorite, Avocado Ale (4.5% ABV) is hitting taps and shelves at the brewery on Friday, Aug. 4. This Kölsch-style ale is brewed with locally grown Lamb Haas avocados from King & King Ranch, as well as cilantro and lime juice. With a hue reminiscent of the vibrant southern California sun, its subtle creaminess captures the wonderful essence of a ripe avocado.

GuAvacado Ale (4.5% ABV) puts a new, tropical spin on the classic Avocado Ale, with the addition of guava. Perfect for summer sipping, it will be available only at Avocado Fest on Sunday, Aug. 6. Both Avocado Ale and GuAvacado Ale will be available on draft for on-site consumption and in 4pk/16oz cans to-go, while supplies last. Both priced at $16 per 4pk.

Avocado aficionados looking to compete in avocado-themed games and competitions, such as the Avocado Juggling Contest, Avocado Eating Contest and Avocado Pit Guessing Competition can sign up on-site at Angel City Brewery’s retail shop to participate.
